I ran away today.  With Katie.  We ran all the way to the Starbucks.  Anyone with a child with a neurological social emotional disorder will understand when I say, "I gotta get out of here!"  We took our technology, our books, and our Starbuck's gift cards and had an hour of quite time.  It was really nice just chilling out and not getting sucked into an emotional screaming battle.  When we got home it was quite and I even got an apology!  Sometimes it's just better to walk away and find a quite space.

Brian got this fancy schmancy NBA regulation sized basketball hoop for Christmas.  I can only say one thing about this, "We should have gotten one sooner!"  I have to say we have had more fun with this as a FAMILY than quite a few other things we've purchased for our home.  Additionally, I didn't know just simply shooting baskets would give me sore muscles.  I have muscles hurting that I didn't even know existed! If you like family fun and sports, get one!

I love my crock pot.  I have some tried and true recipes that I typically won't stray from.  I was surprised to hear that a friend was having failure after failure with her crock pot.  I was thinking, "How can you mess up a crock pot meal?"  She was interested in breakfast type meals.  Of which I've never made in my crock pot.  So I snapped a picture and texted some recipes to her.  I love how technology allows us to share so instantly.  Hopefully, she'll have some success with these recipes.

According to my sister, my father thinks I need work on being virtuous.  My sister texted me to let me know she had my Book of Virtues that our dad gave me.  I let her know that I already had this book in my home.  I snapped a quick picture and texted it to her with along with the picture of the inscription that was written to me and my husband with no date.  Based on the inscription, I assumed it was a wedding gift, anniversary gift, perhaps a gift from when one of my children were born.  Moments later a picture appeared on my screen from my sister.  The same book with an inscription from my birthday four months before I got married.  My sister and I were both LOAO via text.  I've decided it gives me the opportunity to pass this book on to each of my children and there won't be any fighting over one copy.
